46 Assam Muslim Mullahs Issue Fatwa Against Girl Singer

Is this India ? Did Mahatma Gandhi dream of this India ? Are our children safe in this format of religion and politics ?

Forty-six Muslim clerics in Assam have issued a fatwa against up-and-coming singer Nahid Afrin. She was the first runner-up in the 2015 season of a musical reality TV show. Muslim Clerics are asking her to stop performing in public.

A police officer believed that the Clerics may have issued a fatwa against her for singing a song against terrorism and the Islamic State (ISIS).
The clerics said that her songs are anti-Islamic and against sharia (Islamic canonical law based on the teachings of the Koran and the traditions of the Prophet). Printed sheets of paper bearing the fatwa in Assamese .
The names of the clerics were distributed across Nagaon and Hojai districts in central Assam on 14th March. It said,

“If anti-sharia acts like musical nights are held on grounds surrounded by masjids, idgahs, madrassas and graveyards, our future generations will attract the wrath(extreme anger) of Allah.”
