Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ Failed In Pakistan But Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ Didn’t

Does Devki Sabarwal (Sridevi) wait for the law to take its course? Or does Devki become Maa Durga and hunt down the perpetrators of the crime?

Sridevi’s suspense-thriller ‘Mom’ hit the theatre finally. Surprisingly, ‘Mom’ also released in Pakistan on a massive scale across 105 screens. But Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ failed to reach Pakistan. Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ has definitely proved how great movies would garner a larger audience.

The presence of two Pakistani actors in ‘Mom’ has worked in its favour across the border. Adnan Siddiqui, who plays Sridevi’s husband, and Sajal Ali, who plays her daughter, have given stupendous performances.

“The way Adnan and Sajal have been presented in the movie by Boney Kapoor is extremely gratifying to us. Earlier, Fawad Khan also was effectively projected by Karan Johar”
The bliss of a biology teacher’s family life in Delhi is shattered when her daughter, Arya (Sajal Ali) is physically assaulted by Jagan (Abhimanyu Singh) and the gang.
